SIOUX FALLS, SD -
We should soon know the results of an economic impact study comparing two potential sites for an Events Center in Sioux Falls.
The study, which would be used to help pick the location and show how much money the project would bring to Sioux Falls, is scheduled to be finished this week.
The mayor would like to see the Events Center built by the Arena; the architectural firm hired by the city selected the parking lot to the east of Cherapa Place as a potential downtown location.
At Monday afternoon's City Council Informational meeting, Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether told council members the study will be released next Monday, April 25. Huether and City Finance Director Tracy Turbak also went over how the city will pay for an Events Center.
