Ice Jam Pushes Water Out Of Cheyenne River

RAPID CITY, SD -
Melting snow and ice are creating flooding concerns across South Dakota.
On the Cheyenne River, large ice jams are pushing water out of the riverbank and flooding land in the area.
Todd Trask's ranch is on the Meade County/Pennington County line and is dealing with flooding. Trask says they are calving right now but it's a struggle because the ranch is underwater.
One of Trask's friends took pictures of the area Saturday morning from an airplane. The aerial view gives you a better idea of the damage that can be caused by an ice jam.
