$10,000 In Damage To Sioux Falls Business

July 7, 2010, 11:53 AM by Cherlene Richards

$10,000 In Damage To Sioux Falls Business
SIOUX FALLS, SD - Sioux Falls business owners are cleaning up the store after a woman drove into the building overnight.

The owner of Hotel Furniture Liquidators got a call around 4:30 Wednesday morning reporting that a woman drove over the sidewalk and through a glass panel, shattering it.

Sioux Falls Police say the 20-year-old female driver may have fallen asleep while turning from 49th Street onto Western Avenue; they say she had not been drinking.

Officials estimate the damage to be around $10,000. The driver was cited for not having proof of insurance and could be cited for careless driving.
