Communities Plan Weekend Celebrations
With the Fourth of July falling on a Sunday this year, many communities will be celebrating all weekend.  Here are some of the events being planned for the holiday.  You can submit your own community's event on our calendar or send them to for inclusion in this list.

Saturday, July 3
Cruise Night - Antique and classic cars on Main Street

Sunday, July 4
Worship in the Park - 10:30 a.m. church service
I'm Alive Tour - 7:30 p.m. Scarlett Letter concert - Band Shell in Westerman Park

Monday, July 5
Firecracker Road Race - 7:30 a.m. registration, race begins at 8 a.m.
Parade - 10:30 a.m. registration
Car Show - Following the parade until 5 p.m.
Arts in the Park - Following parade at Westerman Park
Municipal Band Concert - Band Shell in Westerman Park
Fireworks Display - At dusk following the concert at Westerman Park

Saturday, July 3
Registration for Menno Road Race - 7:30 a.m.
Registration and lineup for parade - 9:00 a.m.
Fourth of July Parade - 11:00 a.m.
Baseball game - 7:30 p.m.
Fireworks after the baseball game

4th of July Family Parade and Picnic
Sunday, July 4 at Falls Park - 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Staging for the parade is at 6th and Weber

4th of July Celebration at W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds
Saturday, July 3 - Sunday, July 4
Garcia Bros. Circus will be performing three shows on Saturday and three shows on Sunday. Show times are scheduled at 3, 5, and 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, July 4 starting at 2 p.m.
Free event includes carnival games, face painting, inflatables, music, and fireworks. Fireworks begin at dusk and are open to the public.

4th of July Parade
Decorated floats on Jackson Blvd. and Main Street; parade at 1 p.m.; ends with an ice cream social in City Park.


Saturday, July 3 
Firecracker 5K Run or 1 mile walk. Registration from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. inside Club Fit.  Run/Walk starts at 9:00 a.m.
Volleyball, Horseshoe and Bean Bag Tournaments, College Memorial Park. Registration at 10:30 a.m.; play starts at 11:00 a.m.
Bull-O-Rama: 7:00 p.m. Calcutta, 7:30 p.m. Bull
Street Dance Featuring the Party Band ECLIPSE from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Sunday, July 4
Community Wide Church Service at College Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m.
Kids games, vendors, food booths, and live music - 5:00 pm at the Marina 
Auctioning of the Frogs will be held at 8:00 p.m. followed by the Frog Jumping Contest
Fireworks right over the Missouri River at dusk

Pancake breakfast - 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at "The Barn"/Community Center
Co-ed softball tournament - 9:00 a.m.

Tractor/Pickup pull  - 12:00 p.m. west side of elevator
Parade - 6:00 p.m.
Kids pedal tractor pull - 7:30 p.m.
Fireworks at dusk
