ALDEN, MN -
KELOLAND Sports Director Jay Elsen was caught up in the line of tornados that hit southern Minnesota. A massive twister touched down just outside of Albert Lea, MN Thursday. Jay Elsen was traveling on I-90 at the time and saw the tornado.
"It was by far the biggest piece of nature I've seen and care to ever see. If I never see something like that again I'll be just fine. At the same time you can't help but be awe-struck by that awesome power. It was a pretty amazing site to see. Its an image that will be in my mind for quite a while," Elsen said.
Elsen pulled off the road at a truck stop in Alden, MN where 30 to 40 people had gathered. He says the power went off after they had been there for about five minutes.
