Communities across KELOLAND will celebrate the Fourth of July with a variety of activities that include parades, concerts and of course, fireworks. Many towns will host all day events that promise fun for the family. The following is a list of a few of the events across South Dakota this Independence Day weekend.
You can find 4th of July fun at Wylie Park in Aberdeen
all day on Saturday. Events include a water ski show, band concert and fireworks at dusk.
The holiday falls during Beresford's 125 Year Celebration
. Because of weather, Friday night's Tonic Sol Fa concert is being moved to Beresford High School and the dance will now be at the fire hall. Fireworks are planned for 10 p.m. Saturday at Cortland Carnes Stadium.
There are activities planned at the Uncle Sam Jam at the Swiftel Center in Brookings
People in Chamberlain
will enjoy the Rock the Bluffs Fireworks Display on Saturday.
will have an Old Time Country Fair on Saturday. Fireworks will be at Pageant Hill beginning at dusk.
You can take in fireworks at Royal River Casino in Flandreau
Harrisburg will hold a pork feed along with 4th of July Fireworks on Saturday. That takes place behind Liberty Elementary School.
Events in Huron
will be held at Campbell Park, where you will be able to take in a parade, barbeque and fireworks at dark.
Lennox holds an Old Fashioned Fourth of July
with activities all weekend. Fireworks at the Bandshell follow a concert on Saturday.
You can catch fireworks in Madison
at North Shore Lake Herman at 10 p.m. on Saturday.
This year's fireworks display in Mitchell
will begin at dusk Saturday at Lake Mitchell.
is having three nights of fireworks, which start July 3. All shows start at 10 p.m and locations vary.
Redfield holds a Fourth of July Spectacular
The Mayor of Sioux Falls will host a parade and picnic
at Falls Park starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Later, at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds, the Sioux Falls Jaycees
host a celebration that begins at 5 p.m. Fireworks wrap up the fun.
Activities start at 9 a.m. Saturday in Vermillion
and end with fireworks.
The July 4th Extravaganza in Vivian
starts at 1 p.m. Saturday.
There is a day long celebration planned in Watertown
on Saturday, with fireworks at dark.
Every 4th of July, people fill Riverside Park in Yankton
to celebrate the holiday. There are many activities planned for Saturday. Fireworks start when the sun goes down.
