Murder Suspect Shot And Killed On Rosebud Reservation
March 25, 2007, 8:46 AM
A man wanted in connection with a murder in Missouri was shot and killed Saturday by a police officer on the Rosebud Reservation.
Tribal police located 26-year-old Bruce Kale in a field in the southwest corner of the reservation after his truck that was reported stolen got stuck in a ravine.
Rosebud Chief of Police Charles Red Crow says the officer shot Kale because Kale had drawn a rifle from his hip and was ready to fire at the officer.
The FBI is investigating the incident.
Red Crow says Kale was suspected of shooting a 63-year-old Missouri man in the head last week.
