Shelter For Homeless Women Veterans Opens In SD

BELLE FOURCHE, SD -
A new shelter in Belle Fouche that will provide housing, meals and education to homeless women veterans and their children is celebrating its opening Friday.
The grand opening celebration for the Women of War Project center will take place at 11 a.m.
The Women of War program helps homeless women veterans develop the skills to get back on their feet.
The center is equipped to handle about 28 homeless women veterans and 18 dependent children.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has set a goal of ending homelessness among veterans by 2015.
