April 19, 2011, 12:22 PM
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Emergency management officials in Codington and Hamlin counties will operate a joint call center on Wednesday to gather information about flood damage to homes.
Officials will use the information to assess the amount and type of damage to private residences. The information will help officials document the extent of losses in the counties.
Flooding on Lake Kampeska at Watertown and at Lake Poinsett to the south has been particularly severe.
The call center (605-882-6272) will be open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
