Ziolkowski Services Begin Monday
CRAZY HORSE, SD -

The first of two public events will be held Monday at Crazy Horse Memorial to honor Ruth Ziolkowski, who died last week of cancer at age 87.

A public viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Memorial Day in the log studio home. Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the welcome center.

Ziolkowski took over leadership of the Black Hills tourist attraction that honors Native Americans upon the 1982 death of her husband, sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski.

It draws more than a million visitors to the southern Black Hills annually and brings in millions of dollars every year, mainly through admission fees.
