YWCA Of Sioux Falls To Get New Identity

February 12, 2013, 1:32 PM by Chris Dexter

YWCA Of Sioux Falls To Get New Identity

The YWCA of Sioux Falls is ending its relationship with the YWCA of the USA.

Effective April 16, 2013, the YWCA of Sioux Falls will become an independent, local organization.

The group says by becoming independent, it allows the organization to respond to area needs without limitations, diversify board leadership and keep local funds in the Sioux Falls community.

In the next couple of months, the YWCA of Sioux Falls will work on a new name and branding. An announcement of the new identity is expected in April.

The YWCA will be discussing this announcement at their annual meeting, Thursday February 21, 5 p.m. at the Westward Ho Country Club. Those looking to attend should RSVP to Mary by calling 336-3660, ext. 224.
