Yankton police are looking for information about an American flag that was burned outside an office building last week.
Police Chief Brian Paulsen says the individual or individuals responsible could face a misdemeanor charge of vandalism or destruction of property.
Paulsen says there are no suspects.
Wayne Ibarolle, a Yankton financial adviser who called in the report, says he was shocked to discover the burned flag outside his building.
"I just can't understand it," Ibarolle said.
