PIERRE, SD -
South Dakota Lottery officials say a Wyoming man has claimed his $10,000 Powerball prize.
Rickey Thorpe, of Greybill, Wyoming, matched four of five white balls and the Powerball to win the game's third prize from its Wednesday drawing. The odds of winning it are one in about 723,000.
Thorpe purchased the ticket at a store in Custer. The store will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
Powerball is played in most states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot for the Saturday drawing is $30 million.
