Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Child Porn Charge
April Solles

RAPID CITY, SD -

A Rapid City woman accused of having sex with a 14-year-old boy has pleaded not guilty to a child pornography charge.

Twenty-eight-year-old April Solles is accused of videotaping the alleged sexual encounters. She faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted on the child porn charge.

Solles also is charged with rape and sexual contact with a child under 16. She could face more than 75 years in prison if convicted on all of the charges.

Authorities say the complicated case began unfolding late last year after Solles' 1-year-old girl died from a head injury. A 14-year-old boy is charged in juvenile court with second-degree murder in the death. Prosecutors haven't said if he is the same boy connected with the rape case.
