Woman Dies From Injuries In Saturday Crash
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

We now know one of the two victims involved in a car-motorcycle hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning has died.

Sioux Falls Police have confirmed 36-year-old Tracy Handel of Sioux Falls, a passenger on the motorcycle, died from her injuries. She succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the motorcycle, 41-year-old Sean Burns of Hartford, is still hospitalized in serious condition.

Their motorcycle was slowing down for a traffic signal at the intersection of 26th Street and Grange Avenue in Sioux Falls when it was hit from behind by a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep, 41-year-old Darren Boomgarden of Sioux Falls was arrested. He's charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular battery, DWI, felony hit and run, no insurance and open container.

Around 8:30 Saturday night, dozens of friends and family members held a candlelight vigil for Handel and Burns. Several mementos, including flowers were left at the intersection where the crash occurred. Sioux Falls Police are still investigating.
