While this week will give KELOLAND high temperatures averaging 12 to 17 degrees above average, reality will soon return as Mother Nature reminds us December is just around the corner.
Cold air will plunge into the northwest United States early next week, eventually funneling into KELOLAND. Early indications are showing some areas may fall to the single digits for morning lows with afternoon highs in the 20s.
Of course, the sharp cool down like that will be much easier if we have snow on the ground. On Monday, the models were showing snow for Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. But the latest model runs are now backing off on that. Either way, it will feel like winter next week.
