Wind Cave National Park will be offering free tours Aug. 25 in honor of the 98th anniversary of the creation of the National Park Service.
The Park Service says tours of the Natural Entrance, Fairgrounds and Garden of Eden will be offered throughout the day with the first tour starting at 9 a.m. and the last one at 5 p.m.
All tours begin at the visitors' center located half a mile off of U.S. Highway 385.
Visitors are encouraged to bring sturdy walking shoes and a light coat or sweater as the cave is 54 degrees.
The Park Service says all tours will be able to view boxwork, a rare calcite cave formation for which Wind Cave is famous worldwide.
