It's also been an intense afternoon for area firefighters.
Crews from Sioux Falls, Harrisburg and the Split Rock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a bean field fire just outside of Harrisburg.
Authorities aren't sure what started it, but say a farmer was combining in the area when it happened and Tuesday's strong wind only made the situation worse.
"Our biggest concern was the housing development to the north. That was our biggest concern getting it stopped before got to there," Terry Blackford with the Harrisburg Fire Department said.
All together, the fire burned 20 to 25 acres of beans.
Much of the state was under a red flag warning because the fire danger was so high.
