SIOUX FALLS, SD -
We all know November brings Black Friday and some crazy low prices. But that doesn't mean the price of everything is low this month.
If you're looking for furniture before company comes for Thanksgiving, November is the right time to buy.
While furniture prices are typically low in January because manufacturers introduce new styles in February, the website Deal News says two years of data show that November has the most furniture deals.
November is also a month when clothing stores offer their best coupons. According to Deal News, clothing stores' best online coupons of the year-- from 20 to 40 percent off-- come out in the weeks leading up to Black Friday; those are also the coupons you can use with existing sales and markdowns.
Also this week especially is the best time to buy the now-discounted Halloween items and costumes. And while you may not be too excited to buy next year's costumes now, candy is usually deeply discounted in the weeks following Halloween.
As you know, those Black Friday bargains usually center around HDTVs. According to Deal News on average HDTV prices will fall 15 percent to 20 percent below their lowest prices in the weeks leading up to Black Friday.
The price of laptops is also predicted to drop during the week leading up to Black Friday. 15-inch laptops are expected to drop down close to $300.
But hold off on those toys for under the Christmas tree. Deal News says the best time to get the greatest discounts on toys for the holidays is during the 14 days leading up to Christmas.
If you plan to buy a new game console for your kids, both Wii and Xbox are expected to come out with new versions next year, which should push down the prices of the current systems.
