The sun will shine across much of KELOLAND for the rest of the work week. Along with the sunshine, we'll have heat and humidity with temperatures well into the 80s and dew points in the 60s. By the weekend, the heat will break down and we'll have a good shot at showers and thunderstorms. Here's the set-up.
Our heat this weekend will be pushed to the south, as that happens showers and storms will develop in KELOLAND. The rain will start Friday in western South Dakota and move into central and eastern KELOLAND by Saturday.
Even next week can be stormy, as a trough will dig to our southwest. We'll have to time pieces of energy that come out to give our rain chances next week.
Along with the rain, you'll notice a dip in the temperatures but we'll still be at or above average, mostly in the 70s. While rain is needed, we'll have to watch for severe weather this weekend and next week.
