Many people in KELOLAND woke up Wednesday to near or at white out conditions. Blowing snow and heavy snow amounts slowed down morning and midday traffic. And as the snow moved southeast, heavy snowfall amounts fell in the southeast corner of KELOLAND.
The range of reports goes from .2" in Howard all the way up to 6" at Milbank in Grant County. Clear Lake received 4.5" and 4" was reported in Big Stone County in Minnesota. From there, the range falls to between one and three inches. Sioux Falls officially received .8" but there was a report of 1.5" of snow just north of the city.
And Thursday morning, perhaps you woke up to ice or snow on you vehicle. But good news, this snow will only be a faint memory as the forecast has a big warm up coming for the weekend. Temperatures reaching the 60s and next week, temperatures will be topping out in the 70s.
