THIS IS A COPY OF AN EMAIL I SEND OUT TO JAY, BRIAN, AND BEN. JUST SOME THOUGHTS ON WHAT THE FORECAST MODELS ARE DOING. IT MAY OR MAY NOT REFLECT THE FINAL FORECAST. BE SURE TO VISIT OUR WEATHER PAGE FOR UPDATES. –SCOT MUNDT
System has slowed down even more! I wouldn’t be surprised if Sioux Falls skips out on snow until after sunset tomorrow, but I kept the 50% snow in for areas to the west and south. Snow will fall Thursday night into Friday for southeast and eastern KELOLAND. Decreased the amounts an inch (2-5”) from Highway 18 to Highway 34, kept the 4-8” along and near the SD/NE border, one to three north of Highway 34.
I’m interested to see what happens in central and south central SD. The inverted trough might be able to squeeze out some 2-3” amounts from Pierre to Mobridge, most of that falling tonight.
Still not making guesses at the next system, let’s get through this one.
