Weather Analysis 2-13-13

Clipper will bring chance for light snow tonight and tomorrow.  QPF amounts are less than five hundredths in many areas, so less than an inch should be likely.  Winds will be the main problem, from the northwest.  Gusts over 50 likely in the west with gusts near 40 in the east.  Wind advisories are out for western SD.

Cold air moves in for Friday with slowly warming temps for Saturday and Sunday.  EURO even has Sioux Falls at 43°, playing it conservative and keeping it at 35° for now.

Another plunge of cold air arrives next week.  Tuesday should be the coldest day.  Right now, have highs in the single digits and teens in eastern SD. 

Gets interesting again late next week.  Low approaches from the southwest with another storm possible around the Thursday time frame (just beyond the 7-day).
