Cold air will stick around for the rest of the week. As long as clouds stick tonight, we’ll only fall to the single digits and teens below, if we have more breaks than anticipated….look out!
GFS has gotten a little more interesting for Sunday. Yesterday, I increased the clouds and had at mention that we’ll have to watch to see if this moves north and according to the 12z GFS run, it has. I introduced a MIX in southeast KELOLAND on Sunday. Thickness values are high, but 850 temps are between -1° and -3°. Thought it would warrant a “mix”. Light snow in east central and northeast KELOLAND. See the QPF table below.
EURO is not on to this (yet), it’s a little farther south. EURO is still looking at Tuesday for a chance for snow, while the GFS in not. I kept the 20 pop going for snow on Tuesday. See QPF table below.
