Augustana women’s basketball advanced to the NSIC/Sanford Women’s Basketball Tournament quarterfinals with a win over Minot State on Wednesday. The Vikings (21-6), the No. 3 seed in the South Division, will face the University of Mary (19-10), the No. 2 seed in the North Division, on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Bismarck, N.D.
The Vikings are 2-2 in games at the McDowell Activity Center, but hold an 8-3 all-time margin over the Marauders. The Winner of this game will face the winner between Concordia St.-Paul (South No. 1 seed) and Northern State (North No. 4 seed).
The Vikings were ranked seventh in the Central Region Rankings released on Wednesday, one of three NSIC teams ranked in the second edition.
