A Watertown man died from injuries received in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 12 near Mobridge on Thursday, May 29.
Stanley Elwood Cadotte, 62, was westbound driving a 1996 GEO Metro. His vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a 2012 Toyota Sienna driven by Shirley Ann Schweitzer, 60, of Timber Lake.
Cadotte was taken to a Mobridge hospital and then transferred to a Bismarck, N.D., hospital, where he died of injuries from the crash. Schweitzer and a passenger in her vehicle, Dorothy Senger, 60, of Glencross, S.D., received minor injuries. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol investigated. Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, Mobridge Police Department, South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks and Mobridge Emergency Medical Services assisted.
