Watertown Police Officers and Detectives conducted an authorized probation search on Thursday, September 12, resulting in the arrest of a Watertown man.
John E. West III was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance. Officers discovered components used to manufacture methamphetamine in both the residence and behind a small shed in the backyard at 156 17th Street NE.
The outdoor lab was dismantled safely by Detectives and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.
West was out on bond for a previous methamphetamine charge.
Bond has been set at $50,000 and West remains in custody at the Codington County Jail.
