It is Election Day in Sioux Falls and many people have already stopped by one of the many voting centers to cast their ballot.
Voting has been underway for just about five hours as of noon. Turnout at Faith Baptist Fellowship Hall is solid. It’s about a 20 minute wait for people coming in.
City Clerk Lorie Hogstad says turnout is high so far. She says about 13,000 people have voted as of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Hogstad did add that the main question she's getting is people wondering where the voting centers are located.
There are 13 voting centers in Sioux Falls and residents can go to any center they want. It doesn't matter where you live.
Locations include the Sioux Falls Arena, the Instructional Planning Center and Morningside Community Center, just to name a few. Take a look at the list online.
All you need is a driver's license to vote. The voting centers will be open until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
