SIOUX FALLS, SD -
A group says it will take back the site of a brutal murder earlier this week in Sioux Falls.
Amanda Connors was killed in her car outside of a Cost Cutters Salon just off of 41st Street Tuesday afternoon. Police say she was trying to warn one of her employees that the employee's ex-boyfriend, 38 year-old Tyrone Smith, was on his way into the store. He eventually took hostages and killed himself inside that salon.
Friday night, a group is gathering there, hoping to make it a non-violent place once again.
This will be the third vigil since the crime on Tuesday. It is not expected to be a very long ceremony; organizers say it will be just 15 to 20 minutes in length.
