August 19, 2010, 9:50 AM
MITCHELL, SD -
A Mitchell man burned in a house explosion is in critical condition at a Minneapolis-area hospital.
A relative of 38-year-old Jose Aguirre says he has burns covering 40 percent of his body. Shelli Porras says Aguirre will need skin grafts and is expected to remain in Regions Hospital for at least three months.
Authorities say a gas leak is likely to blame for Tuesday's explosion. It prompted the evacuation of residents within several blocks.
