Several Veterans Day events are taking place in Sioux Falls on Sunday.
The Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Military & Veterans Affairs Committee and local veterans organizations are sponsoring a veterans program at Lincoln High School, located at East 41st Street and Cliff Avenue. That begins at 10:30 a.m.
It will include a mass colors presentation of flags from various military, veterans and service/civic club organizations from Sioux Falls and a performance by the Singing Legionnaires of American Legion Post 15. Four area veterans will be honored by the Sioux Falls Veterans Council for outstanding commitment to their organization, community and country.

Other events planned for the day include an open house at the American Legion with a Veterans Day Stew and Cake meal. That starts at noon at the American Legion, 1701 W. Legion Dr. A free will donation will be accepted.
A Veterans Day Awards Program starts at noon at the Disabled American Veterans, 1519 W. 51st Street.
A Veterans of Foreign Wars Banquet will take place Sunday evening. The social begins at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. and entertainment as well. The banquet is happening at the VFW at 3601 S. Minnesota Avenue.
