Valley City Administrator Takes New Job

VALLEY CITY, ND -
The city administrator who's resigning in Valley City after months of political turmoil is taking a similar job in another state, but he's not saying where.
Jon Cameron is resigning Nov. 11. He made the announcement Wednesday, a day after city residents voted not to abolish the city administrator position. Cameron says he's taking a job in the southern U.S., and leaving it up to that city to make the location
public.
Cameron drew criticism from some after he clashed with Valley City's police chief - a dispute that dragged on for months. At one point he was a finalist for the open city manager position in Sturgis, S.D., but he withdrew from consideration.
Cameron has been Valley City's administrator for three-and-a-half years. He says he's proud of his work.
