USD Women To Play Stanford In NCAA Tournament

The University of South Dakota women's basketball team will take on Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Coyotes will play on Saturday in Ames, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m.

The Coyotes (19-13) earned the Summit League's automatic bid by winning the League's tournament last week.  The team makes its first Division I NCAA Tournament appearance in the school's second season of eligibility.

USD is the 15 seed in the Stanford region, with Stanford being the two seed.  Stanford finished the season at 29-3.
