USD Women Prepare To Leave For NCAA Tournament
VERMILLION, SD -

The University of South Dakota women’s basketball team will be leaving town Thursday afternoon for the first round in the NCAA Tournament.

USD fans bought 668 seats in the designated USD section for the Coyote women's game in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday. The total included 500 alumni and fans and 168 students.

People can still buy tickets from the ticket office in Ames - if there are any left - but those seats may not be in the USD section.

Student Services is coordinating university vehicles to transport any students who need a ride on Saturday.

There aren't any official events planned at the school. Instead the action is switching to Ames The Alumni Association will be hosting a pre-game rally 3-5 p.m. on Saturday at the team hotel Quality Inn.
