The University of South Dakota and Sanford Health will be hosting a symposium that will address advances in biomedical research.
The event will take place Monday at the university's campus in Vermillion.
USD officials say eight speakers from Sanford Research and the university's Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences will talk about research activities and pending innovations on their field.
The university says the state's biomedical industry has seen a significant growth in recent years.
