Sioux Falls Police hope surveillance pictures from an unusual weekend crime will help them catch the suspect.
Police say it happened Saturday night when a man walked into the BP station on West Russell Street and told the clerk he had a bomb. He then threw it at the clerk, who was able to block it. The explosives landed on the floor and started filling the store with smoke.
The man is described as being between 6' and 6'2" tall and weighs around 200 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing an older dark ski mask with yellow stitching. He had on dark blue jeans and dark heavy boots along with gloves. Police say he also had on eye black around his eyes and mouth.
The suspect ran out of the store after throwing the fireworks and never demanded anything else.
