South Dakota law enforcement plan to give an update on a 1971 missing persons' case.
Teenagers Sherri Miller and Pam Jackson disappeared while on their way to a party in rural Union County.
In September 2013, the car the girls were driving was found just a half mile from the gravel pit where they were heading in May 1971. A license plate confirms it was the Studebaker Miller and Jackson were last seen in.
On Tuesday, Attorney General Marty Jackley, Union County Sheriff Dan Limoges, Union County States Attorney Jerry Miller and Clay County Sheriff Andy Howe will hold a news conference on the status of the case. Results of the forensic testing on skeletal remains found in the car are expected to be released.
