Two Seriously Injured In ATV Crash
GARRETSON, SD -

Two are seriously injured after an ATV crash south of Garretson last night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office responded to an ATV crash on 486th Avenue near Garretson. The driver, 34-year-old Dusty Neal Risty, of Garretson, lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Both Risty and his 26-year-old passenger were ejected and neither were wearing a helmet.

Risty received serious injuries and was transported by Sanford Hospital's Trauma 1. The passenger also received serious injuries and was transported by Garretson Ambulance to Sanford Hospital. Alcohol was a factor in the crash, and Risty was cited into court for first-degree DWI.
