Authorities say two Sioux Falls men have pleaded not guilty to federal sex trafficking charges involving a child.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says 21-year-old James Murphy and 24-year-old Elijah Wilson were indicted on the federal charges Tuesday and entered pleas on Wednesday.
Authorities say the men allegedly attempted to "recruit, entice and obtain a person who had not attained the age of 14 years, and knowing that the person would be caused to engage in a commercial sex act."
Both men face a June 17 trial. They face up to life in prison if found guilty.
Murphy was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. Wilson was released on bond pending trial.
