Two eight-week-old puppies have been stolen from a pet store in southeast South Dakota.
The owner of Ed's Pet World in Mitchell says the animals were taken during a break-in shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Ed Anderson says surveillance video shows a man broke into the store, took $50 in cash from the register, and then grabbed a wire dog crate and the puppies.
Each of the miniature poodles is valued at $599.
Anderson says he is seriously concerned about the puppies because they had just been weaned from their mothers. Anderson had only had them for about 24 hours.
Police ask residents to call the department should they have any information about the puppies. Anderson is offering a $150 reward for information.
