Two men died in separate crashes on South Dakota highways.
Thursday night, a Vermillion man died at the intersection of Highways 50 and 19. The Highway Patrol says 92-year-old Martin Weeks failed to stop at a stop sign and ran into the side of a trailer. Weeks died at the scene. The driver of the truck and trailer was not hurt.
Friday morning, a one-vehicle crash killed a Kadoka man on Highway 73 five miles south of Philip.
54-year-old Jeremiah Iron Moccasin was in a 1981 Chevy pickup when it crossed the center line, went into the ditch and then came back onto the road before rolling in the opposite ditch. Iron Moccasin was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He died at the scene.
