Two Charged For Trying To Get Contraband To Prisoners

SIOUX FALLS, SD - Two Sioux Falls residents are accused of trying to get synthetic marijuana and other contraband to prisoners in the South Dakota State Penitentiary.

Nicole Lindner, age 28, and JoDean Unzelman, age 18, are charged with a Class 6 felony. It's punishable by a maximum of two years in the state penitentiary, a fine of four thousand dollars, or both.

During the investigation, five inmates were placed in the Disciplinary Segregation Unit at the Pen. They include:

• Jaelon Hunter
• Aaron Unzelman
• Ward Mitchell
• Jeff Swenson
• Marcos Davila

The Division of Criminal Investigation and Department of Corrections are investigating.
