RAPID CITY, SD -
Two Rapid City businesses failed an alcohol compliance check on Thursday.
Of the 19 establishments checked, just two sold to the underage buyer: Jackpot Casino at 685 La Crosse Street and Thirsty's at 819 Main Street. The two clerks must appear in court. Rapid City police say selling alcohol to a minor is a class 2 misdemeanor punishable by 30 days in jail, a $500 fine, or both.
Since January 1, 2013, five establishments have failed the alcohol compliance checks.
