SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Two suspects are behind bars after a high speed chase that went through two counties ended in a crash in Sioux Falls.
Authorities say Friday morning was an interesting start to the holiday weekend.
The suspect is in custody, and Lincoln County officials say a second person of interest has been arrested, though the highway patrol would not confirm that.
Around 7 a.m. Friday morning, Lennox police responded to the Valley Exchange Bank after alarms sounded. A chase began after shots were fired, and lasted 30 minutes through Tea and then Sioux Falls. The chase came to an end on west 12th Street when a highway patrol car deliberately crashed into the truck.
The suspect was arrested on scene without incident. Authorities say they found a handgun in the truck. The suspect was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital to be checked out, but no injuries have been reported.
The highway patrol believes the truck was stolen, because it is not registered to the suspect.
