SIOUX FALLS, SD -
We're learning more about how a body found in Iowa and a house fire in Sioux Falls are connected.
Two Sioux Falls men are expected to appear in court Friday afternoon, facing kidnapping and robbery charges in the death of 27-year-old Joseph Cynkar.
Benjamin Carter and Payton Strum tried to rob Cynkar at a home on East Hermosa Drive in Sioux Falls on Monday. Cynkar was assaulted during the robbery.
Police say the suspects then drove Cynkar in his own pickup to a wooded area east of Lake Alvin where his body was discovered on Tuesday.
Preliminary autopsy results show that Cynkar died of suffocation and a blow to the head.
Police say Strum also set fire to the house at some point. He's also facing a charge of first-degree arson.
