Two Minnesotans are in jail charged with human sex trafficking and pimping out of a Sioux Falls hotel.
Monday evening staff at the hotel on the southwest part of town noticed suspicious behavior and called police. Investigators found an internet ad and watched several people leave the room throughout the night.
Eventually they caught up to a 33-year-old woman from Minneapolis who said she had come to town with two others who "forced" her to prostitute herself and kept all the money.
Police later caught up to 26-year-old Ashley Crayton of St. Peter, MN and 31-year-old David Nance of Minneapolis.
They are both in jail without bond.
Police also arrested these three men on various charges:
- 34-year-old Paul Christopher Broesder, 34 of Little Rock, IA, was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
- 48-year-old David Leland Irvine, of Sioux Falls, was arrested for hiring for sexual activity.
- 39-year-old Timothy James Portz, of Sheldon, IA, was stopped nearby and arrested for hiring for sexual activity.
Detectives say they all had contact with the woman in the hotel room.
