The Crow Creek Sioux Tribe has agreed to submit its sex offenders' data to the South Dakota Sex Offender Registry.
Attorney General Marty Jackley announced the move Tuesday.
The tribe maintains its own sex offender registry that includes offenders who reside, work or attend school within the boundaries of the reservation. The new agreement will allow the tribe to electronically send that information to the state's registry.
Officials with the attorney general's office say more than 3,200 sex offenders reside in South Dakota.
