Trial Date Set In Underage Party Case

CANTON, SD -

A tentative trial date has been set for a couple accused of hosting an underage drinking party in Harrisburg.

Harrisburg School Board member Michelle Schirado and her husband, Bryan, have been officially charged with maintaining a place used for violation of beverage laws and contributing to a child in need of supervision.

Back in May, authorities ticketed 25 teenagers for underage drinking at the couple's home.

The charges carry a maximum penalty of one year in jail.

Their attorney appeared in court on their behalf on Wednesday.

A trial has been set for October 25.
