TrenDigital Summit Recap

January 31, 2013, 9:59 PM by Kelly Bartnick

TrenDigital Summit Recap
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Digital trends were the topic on Thursday in Sioux Falls during the Trendigital Summit, which brought together business professionals hoping to stand out in the cyberspace haze.

“There are higher education organizations here. There's small mom and pop shops here. We even have college students here,” Paul Ten Haken of Clickrain said.

Three hundred marketing professionals filled the Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls. Hundreds more watched the presentations live online at KELOLAND.com.

Marketing professionals like Jennie Doyen hoped to pick up at least one new trick to stand out online. She came across town from the University Center.

“I'm sure I'll get more than that, but if I can take away one nugget, it's worth the time,” Doyen said. “There's just so much to know and learn in the area of digital and digital marketing.”

“When people hear the word digital, they think website. Websites are just one piece of a comprehensive digital strategy,” Ten Haken said.

Online technology and trends are constantly changing. Those attending the event were there to learn the trends, tap into them, grow business and ultimately grow their bottom lines.

“There's search and mobile and email, social analytics, all these other prices that go into digital today,” Ten Haken said.

And whether it's a business in the big city or out on the prairie, according to the professionals already at the top of the digital summit, if you haven't made the climb, you're missing out.

Thursday’s event was the first ever technology and marketing event sponsored in part by KELOLAND Television, Clickrain Online Marketing and SDN Communications.
