MITCHELL, SD -
With Intersate 90 back open, drivers are hitting the road Monday morning to continue their travels. KELOLAND's Derek Olson was stranded in Mitchell Sunday when state officias closed the road.
He left Mitchell Monday morning headed for Rapid City and found the road was completely covered in ice for about the first ten miles. It cleared up after that but there are still patchy sections of ice.
The thermometer of his truck says the temperature outside is nine-below-zero, which is why drivers should be extra careful to not get stranded in the extreme cold.
